Summary:
At Curana Health, we're reimagining how seniors receive compassionate, comprehensive psychiatric care. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team and provide high-quality mental health support across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), Assisted Living (AL), and Independent Living (IL) communities.

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Curana Health, you'll help shape the future of geriatric behavioral health care. You'll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team to deliver personalized psychiatric services, ensuring continuity of care across the post-acute and long-term care continuum. Your expertise will empower residents, support families, and improve outcomes for an underserved population.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Psychiatric Care and Rounding: Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings.
- Collaborative Care Coordination: Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Patient Evaluation and Management: Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories.
- Diagnostics and Therapeutics: Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health.
- Medication and Treatment Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary.
- Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices.
- Acute Care Collaboration: Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively.

Full-time employees are eligible for Curana Health's full benefits package. Part-time employees may be eligible for limited benefits as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Active DEA license.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days notice of this requirement.
