Duties
- Install, adjust, and repair garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and tracks with precision and attention to safety standards in residential, commercial and industrial settings
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete installations and repairs effectively
- Read schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and troubleshoot garage door systems
- Perform heavy lifting of door components and equipment to ensure proper installation and maintenance
- Conduct door hanging tasks including framing, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation
- Apply caulking and sealants for weatherproofing and finishing touches on installations
- Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to identify solutions quickly
Requirements
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Proven experience with construction site work, remodeling projects, or carpentry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of schematics, and mechanical systems related to garage doors
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to garage door openers or fixtures is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Good customer handling skills required
