Job Summary:  

The Fitness Internship is responsible for the general supervision of the fitness center, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests while delivering outstanding customer service. As an Intern you will understand multiple aspects of fitness including group exercise, personal training, program development. At the end of the internship you will be equipped to teach one form of group exercise, personal train at an entry level and implement a fitness program start to finish. This is a paid internship for approximately 20 hours per week, with an anticipated start date in mid-January 2026 and continuing through June 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to get real-world experience and contribute to various Fitness Projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and clean all fitness equipment and facility areas.
• Greet guests, explain programs and activities, and provide guidance on equipment usage.
• Shadowing personal trainers and group fitness instructors.
• Report and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations in a tactful manner.
• Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the front desk and surrounding areas.
• Attend all required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Meet regularly with supervisor to review duties and performance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
