Essential Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide III (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)

  • Functions as supervisor when that area's supervisor is not present including staffing, supervision of staff, meal service timeliness, food presentation, and accuracy to residents.
  • Serves meals in dining room or tray line according to menu, modified diets, and the individual needs of the resident.
  • Works in the dish room as needed.
  • Serves resident meals in dining room according to menu, modified diets, and individual needs of the residents.
  • Responsible for clean-up, sanitation, and the resetting of the dining room after each service.
  • Prepares food items as specified with each position.
  • Responsible for communicating with the Dining Services Manager any concerns that pertains to residents, visitors, other staff members, or the operation of the Dining Services Department.
  • Properly labels, dates, and stores food as required and to regulatory standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications of a Dietary Aide III (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)

  • Minimum 1 year food service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of food service sanitation and health care food service.
  • Carries out job responsibilities in an accurate and conscientious manner.
  • Exercises independent judgment and makes sound decisions.
  • Effectively plans, organizes, and prioritizes work load.
  • Communicates effectively with the residents and other staff members, treating them with respect and dignity.
  • Works well within established policies and procedures.
  • Works in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village.
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept a weekend and holiday work schedule.
