Txtur is creating a new way to bring true craft experience to customer's lives and homes. We were born out of an 87-year-old US made furniture company looking to directly connect consumers to craftspeople.

Our growing operation includes:

  • Txtur at Fire Station One — After 100 years of service and 15 years of vacancy, historic Fire Station One in downtown Roanoke, VA has reopened its doors as Txtur's flagship showroom. Customers can come to our customization center in the showroom to sit with furniture experts and configure custom made-to-order pieces crafted less than 2 miles away.
  • Txtur Richmond- Experience the rebirth of the 1908 Richmond Seaboard railroad freight cross dock at the now open TXTUR gallery. The lovingly restored building honors the real craft of the Manchester neighborhood. We have ample onsite parking. Embracing our commitment to authenticity, hospitality, and fun.
  • Stock Roanoke & Richmond — Stock offers a unique variety of Nordic inspired fare and handcrafted libations from the bar. Every detail, from the meal on a plate, to a drink in the hand, to the very bar and barstools at Stock, was intentionally handcrafted with our consumer in mind.
  • Fire Station One Boutique Hotel — Our 7-room boutique hotel is housed on the top floor of historic Fire Station One. Each of our seven guest rooms has its own individual style and feel, and is fully furnished with Txtur furniture made in Roanoke, VA.

While new to the market, Txtur has quickly become a well-loved brand. Our organization is seeking new retail team members to staff our furniture showroom at our Richmond location.

Selected candidates will enjoy the opportunity to work with a product they can appreciate and trust and who's authentic message of craftsmanship resonates well with customers. Txtur is passionate about sustainability, quality and directly connecting consumers to craftspeople for mutual benefit.

We are primarily looking for gracious and hospitable team members to help tell the Txtur story and explain the product to new customers. An interest in interior design, home furnishings or art is also would be a great starting point for a potential candidate.

Our ideal candidate would be available on Saturdays and Sundays and be available to work until 9pm, Wednesday- Saturday. Sales experience is preferred

Specific work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers as they enter our showroom.
  • Learning the details of our furniture and what makes Txtur unique.
  • Assisting customers with their selections when designing their custom furniture pieces.
  • Comfortably operating an iPad-based POS system.
  • Maintaining showroom cleanliness.
  • Following opening and closing procedures.
  • Helping to stage merchandise in the showroom.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
