Data Center Operations Technician

Currently hiring for one Full-time 2nd shift position.

Schedule:

Mon - Fri: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Lifeline Data Centers is a leader in data center compliance, uptime, and innovation. Since 2001, Lifeline has provided data center, office real estate, and secure cloud environments to companies who require uptime, connectivity, and room for growth. Our Data Center Operations (DCO) is staffed 24/7/365 and DCO Technicians are responsible for continuous monitoring and to respond to network outages, power events, security events, and other incidents.

Job Description

  • Enforce Facility Access Policies and document security incidents

  • Monitor security cameras and respond to motion alerts

  • Monitor environmental, security, mechanical, and network monitoring software, respond to and escalate alerts

  • Complete scheduled facility and perimeter checks and required documentation

  • Invoke Incident Response procedure as needed and alert On Call Support for assistance

  • Respond to customer email requests and phone calls

  • Receive, document, and notify customers of deliveries

  • Monitor, document and control access of customer vendors

  • Perform facilities maintenance and tidiness as needed – boxes/trash to dumpster, office clean-up/organization, lot pickup, etc

  • Complete assigned cable runs including required documentation

  • Send access control reports to customers and make any requested changes

  • Perform remote hands requests for customers, such as power cycling equipment or reseating cables

Work Experience and Education Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers

  • Proficient using a PC

  • Ability to perform under high pressure situations

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Smart Phone
