Pay Rate: From $21/hour with $4/hour shift differential on weekends

Job Description: Memory Care Assistants on our All Points team will provide support to residents living with dementia in a person-centered methodology. They will be responsible for documenting and assessing interactions, behaviors, and progression of dementia, as well as facilitating one-on-one and group activities for individuals living with dementia. Effective communication with the care team is crucial to maintaining a high quality of life for all residents.

Our Approach: Everyone has different likes, personalities, and abilities. Similarly, cognitive impairment affects everyone differently and at a unique pace. Because of this variety, there is no singular approach to care. Wentworth Senior Living has developed The All Points Program� to personalize our approach to memory care, giving each resident the care and support they need to live a full and dignified life throughout the progression of their dementia.

Our Memory Care Assistants are trained to provide personalized support to each member of our community, offer frequent communication, a safe physical environment, person-centered care, and purposeful engagement that will allow our residents to live better lives, longer.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide person-centered support to residents living with dementia, in accordance with individual care plans.
  2. Document and assess interactions, behaviors, and progression of dementia.
  3. Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure a high quality of life for residents with dementia.
  4. Facilitate one-on-one and group activities for individuals living with dementia.
  5. Assist with mealtimes and the resident dining experience

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  2. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  3. Prior experience in dementia care or supporting individuals with cognitive impairment is preferred.
  4. Prior experience in social work or social services settings is a plus
