About the Role

We are hiring a
Credit Risk Consultant
to join a premier consulting client's Banking & Financial Services practice. This role blends
hands-on model development
with
client-facing delivery
, supporting strategic initiatives across credit risk, portfolio analytics, and regulatory modeling.

You will work on real-world credit risk problems across
PD, EAD, and LGD
modeling, partner with stakeholders, and contribute to production-grade analytics solutions in Python and SQL-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and validation of
    PD, EAD, and LGD models
  • Build and enhance risk models using
    Python, SQL, PySpark, and Hive
  • Conduct exploratory analysis and feature engineering on large credit datasets
  • Support model validation, monitoring, and performance reporting
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and offshore analytics teams
  • Translate analytical outputs into clear business insights
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team capability growth

Must Have

  • 4–6 years of experience in
    Banking Risk Analytics / Credit Risk Modeling
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • PD / EAD / LGD model development
  • Python, SQL, PySpark, Hive
  • Experience working in
    client-facing consulting or delivery teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a
    quantitative discipline
    (Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with regulatory or validation frameworks (SR 11-7, Basel concepts)
  • Exposure to model deployment or monitoring pipelines
  • Experience working with large-scale data platforms (Databricks, cloud environments)
  • Consulting or analytics services background
