Job Description

Working in a world-class Facilities organization with talented groups of Engineers, Technicians, and supportive management. This organization focuses on growth, talent development, and continuous improvement.

Responsible for all Facilities mechanical design projects and sustaining maintenance activities. Collaborate with Technicians, Contractors, Facilities Engineers, Equipment Engineers, and Production groups on major projects.

This Job Is For You If You Can:

  • Lead Facilities projects such as new equipment installations and cleanroom construction.
  • Review new equipment Facilities requirements and create detailed installation plans.
  • Design equipment layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Design exhaust duct systems for new equipment.
  • Provide layout and design details for cleanroom space changes and coordinate with architectural contractors.
  • Prepare all design drawings in AutoCAD for contractor bidding.
  • Coordinate with Equipment, Production, Process, and Safety groups to plan and schedule projects.
  • Perform Exhaust Capacity Studies and develop solutions for future expansion.
  • Support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance (PMs) are completed on schedule.
  • Sustain and monitor all scrubbers and exhaust systems to meet specifications.
  • Maintain cleanroom airflow and HEPA filter performance.
  • Monitor Cooling Tower performance and assist with maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as:
  • Exhaust duct leaks – coordinate rapid repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Loss of Air Handlers or Exhaust systems – ensure fast recovery.
  • Comply with ISO requirements and assist in developing new procedures when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with State, City, and Building Codes, as well as Safety Procedures (e.g., Lockout/Tagout).
  • Support Facilities documentation and update relevant records in Intelex.
  • Complete assigned projects on time and in full compliance with specifications.
  • Create Purchase Orders and oversee procurement activities, including engineering support, construction, and long-lead equipment or parts.
  • Escalate issues or obstacles that could delay project schedules to management promptly.
  • Provide a monthly report summarizing maintenance and project activities.
  • Work with a high level of autonomy based on business priorities.
  • Travel to domestic and international as needed for project support.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced AutoCAD knowledge and proficiency.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Facilities equipment design, installation, and maintenance, with an emphasis on process piping and exhaust systems.
  • Experience with Cleanroom and Semiconductor Equipment Installation projects is a plus.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent proven work experience.
