At Volunteers of America Spokane, we believe behavioral health care should happen without clinical walls. Our clinicians work directly in the community—in shelters, permanent supportive housing, and outreach settings—meeting people where they are and helping them build stable, fulfilling lives.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to adults, youth, and veterans experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
     
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with an integrated team of case managers, peer support specialists, and medical providers.
     
  • Offer trauma-informed, strengths-based therapy in community-based and housing-first program models.
     
  • Help clients build coping skills, resilience, and pathways to stability.

Requirements

 What You'll Bring:

  • Active Washington license or associate credential (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LSW).  
  • Passion for working with individuals facing homelessness, trauma, and behavioral health challenges.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.  
  • Reliable transportation for community-based work.
