The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all daily operations of the restaurant to ensure exceptional guest experiences, team performance, and business results. This position plays a key leadership role in staff management, financial performance, and maintaining the restaurant's service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Leadership

  • Assist in managing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support the GM in maintaining high standards for food quality, cleanliness, service, and atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Financial Management

  • Assist with labor, food cost, and expense control to meet budget targets.
  • Help manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
  • Support the GM in analyzing sales reports and developing strategies to improve profitability.

Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
  • Coach and develop employees to build a strong, motivated team.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Guest Experience

  • Lead by example to ensure every guest receives excellent service.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction.
  • Promote a welcoming, friendly atmosphere aligned with the restaurant's brand.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience (full-service preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of restaurant financials and point-of-sale systems.
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
