Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions that streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a strong foundation in system architecture, solution design, and integration with various IT infrastructure components. The ServiceNow Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative service management solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

Duties

  • Develop, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements.
  • Design and optimize workflows, catalog items, and automation scripts within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, and various IT infrastructure tools using RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Build and maintain solution architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with cloud security standards.
  • Manage system configurations including load balancing, system hardening, and network security protocols like VPNs and firewalls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement system hardening measures to ensure information security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, Git, and other automation tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Perform system administration tasks on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including virtualization with VMware or ESXi environments.
  • Develop scripts using JavaScript, Python, Shell Scripting, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
  • Participate in SDLC processes following Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting issues related to system design, APIs, or network configurations.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform development and customization.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, solution architecture, and system design principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including JavaScript, Python, Shell Scripting, and VBA.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud security, networking, including VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and load balancing techniques.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience working within Agile environments utilizing tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of web services standards including RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including system hardening, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and system monitoring tools like Meraki or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively across operating systems including Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Express is a plus for integrating user interfaces with backend services.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
