We're looking for a skilled Print Production Operator to join our dynamic team at Caveman Printing & Apparel. This full-time role (Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (30 min paid lunch break) focuses on high-volume paper-product work (flyers, small-format, bindery), operating our Konica Minolta and 54″ wide-format Roland and paper finishing machines. You'll switch between machines, maintain equipment, track multiple jobs in process, and package/ship finished orders. Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor and run small format print jobs; change media, adjust settings, monitor output quality.
  • Switch between machines/jobs to maintain throughput and meet deadlines.
  • Perform finishing operations: cutting, folding, laminating, binding, packaging, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Maintain equipment: routine cleaning, calibration, toner/ink changes, preventative maintenance, report issues to lead.
  • Monitor workflow, keep multiple jobs active in the queue, coordinate hand-off to shipping/fulfillment.
  • Ensure work meets strict quality standards, accurate colors and correct finishing.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team, maintaining clear communication, keeping the work area organized and safe.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial print-production environment preferred (digital/offset/finishing).
  • Experience or willingness to learn operation of digital printers and wide-format machines.
  • Mechanical aptitude: able to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously, prioritize, and switch tasks proactively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output: sloppy work or poor communication will not be acceptable.
  • Team-oriented mindset: willing to partner with production, shipping/fulfillment, and other departments.
  • Good communication skills, able to report machine status, job progress, issues to lead.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and able to maintain schedule consistently.
