The Real Estate Services (RES) Construction Manager will oversee the function for the administration of construction loans assigned to the RES Construction team. This team manages and mitigates the execution risk of the construction loans in the bank's portfolio through appropriate controls associated with the advancing of construction funds, and pre-construction assessments. The team interacts directly with the borrower or borrower's agent for construction.
Job Responsibilities
:
- Review and approval of draws exceeding RES Specialists' approval levels; Issue resolution with scenarios outside of procedure guidelines; assignment of new construction loans.
- Portfolio reporting preparation and management which describes emerging risks in the portfolio, completion timelines, interest reserve capacity, sales pace; meeting materials prep for monthly staff, RES/Credit meetings, and semi-annual Credit Policy Committee updates.
- Plan and costs reviews, site visits, project specific assessments.
- Reviews, time management, coaching, etc. for RES Construction Specialists team.
- Development of new, refinement of existing reports and depictions for inter-department meetings; procedures updates.
Minimum Qualifications
:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred; minimum of an Associate's degree required.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in construction industry in a managerial position or position requiring significant construction knowledge or 5 years in credit underwriting, credit review or credit officer relating to construction or CRE loans.
- Must be familiar with construction contracts, inspection reports, plan and cost assessments, construction budgets, retainage and lien procedures.
- Must have ability to logically work through issue resolution, collaboratively work with different areas of the bank (commercial, credit, audit).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate and interact in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Must have strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Must have strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Salary Range:
$90, $148,847.50
Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
In addition to base salary, WSFS Financial Corporation (WSFS) and its subsidiaries may offer eligible Associates discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards.
