Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe/Programmer and Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail. This role involves operating CNC lathes and milling machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in manufacturing processes.

Duties

  • Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components.
  • Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks for designing parts and tooling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
  • Conduct electrical discharge machining as required for specific projects.
  • Perform CAM programming to optimize machining processes.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques as necessary for various projects.
  • Operate forklifts safely when handling materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and basic math skills for precise calculations.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
  • Experience with tooling setup and maintenance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Experience in plastics injection molding is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
