Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and post-acute care environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personal care and medical support, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to supervising healthcare providers.
- Coordinate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control procedures and COVID-19 protective measures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU, Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
- Experience with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, post-acute care, or teaching hospitals is a plus.
- Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, sub-acute care, or clinic environments enhances ability to deliver quality home care.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Certification or training in caregiving or medical assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of care.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life. This position is vital for supporting individuals in need of personalized health management within their homes. Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 20.0 per week
