Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented maintenance tech to join our team at Holiday Inn in Lake Zurich, IL. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, with the ability to interpret schematics and operate diagnostic tools. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems
- Conduct welding and residential painting as needed for facility upkeep
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and CMMS software to diagnose issues and document maintenance activities
- Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation
- Experience with welding, electrical systems, and facilities maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and CMMS software
- Background in residential painting is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination
- Customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external clients
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems
