Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

We are looking for someone to act as an assistant coach for our varsity girls soccer team, with the goal of taking over as head coach the following year. An ideal coaching candidate would be someone who is interested in starting a career in coaching but may not have much experience coaching. The candidate SHOULD have a background in soccer, either playing or coaching. We are looking for someone with a passion to teach the skills of soccer, act as a Christian mentor to our athletes, learn what it takes to be a head coach, and then be in line to take over the whole program the following year. Our season will run from March 2 through early May. Practice times would generally be somewhere in the 3:00-6:00 time frame. We have a grass field on campus for practice and contests. Candidates either need a valid Illinois teaching certificate or a coaching certificate per IHSA rules (or willingness to obtain the certificate). Candidates will also need to undergo a background check. Pay is based on our step and track pay scale. Consideration is given for appropriate experiences.
