Located in the heart of the South Shore, our well-established marine service and repair facility is seeking a highly organized and motivated Marine Service Manager to join our team. We specialize in boat maintenance, engine repair, engine repowers, winterization, storage, and customer service for recreational and commercial boaters throughout Eastern Mass. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer care.

Position Summary:

As the Marine Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the service department, lead a team of technicians, ensure timely and accurate repairs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is a key leadership role requiring both technical knowledge and strong managerial skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule all service and repair work, including diagnostics, maintenance, and installations
  • Supervise and support a team of marine technicians and yard staff
  • Coordinate with customers regarding service needs, timelines, and estimates
  • Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
  • Monitor workflow, manage budgets, and ensure timely job completion
  • Maintain accurate service records and manage billing with office staff
  • Promote a culture of customer satisfaction and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in marine service, with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of marine systems (gas and diesel engines, outboards, electronics, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Customer-focused with a strong sense of professionalism
  • Certifications from ABYC, Yamaha, Mercury, or similar a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
