About the Role
We're a small, fast-moving real estate holdings and property management office seeking a dependable Property Manager Assistant to help manage our portfolio of commercial properties in the Temecula area.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, coordinating maintenance, communicating with tenants and vendors, and keeping property operations running smoothly.
This role supports the smooth operation of the holdings, helps maintain high standards for tenant relations and property upkeep, and ensures the Owner is supported in daily business operations. You'll work closely with the Owner and Finance Manager in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Property Management Support
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, communicate with vendors, and track work orders.
- Assist with leasing activities including advertising vacancies, scheduling showings, screening applicants, and preparing lease documents.
- Handle tenant communications, maintenance requests, and notices professionally and promptly.
- Support rent collection, deposits, and payment tracking with the Finance Manager.
- Conduct property inspections, move-in/move-out walkthroughs, and maintain documentation.
- Monitor compliance with property, safety, and local code requirements.
- Travel to properties in Riverside County and Orange County will be required.
Administrative / Front-Desk / Office Operations
- Maintain organized digital and paper files for leases, maintenance records, and vendor contracts.
- Assist with property budgeting, invoices, and expense tracking.
- Prepare monthly property reports and summaries for the Owner.
- Update listings, schedules, and property information in management systems.
- Serve as a first point of contact in the office: greet the occasional visitors, answer phone calls, route messages.
- Assist with general office maintenance, supplies, ordering, etc.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in property management or real estate preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, contractors.
- Able to handle multiple tasks / priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally.
- Basic computer skills: MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), familiarity with property management software (if possible).
