What We're Looking For:

As the Design Manager of Global Applications, you will be responsible for managing our key Meltwater design system and AI-driven platform experiences. You will play a key role as a player/coach, driving intuitive use and industry-leading outcomes. Your role will involve working with other designers to further enhance global applications and design patterns, ensuring best-in-class interaction design, visual design, and new AI products. Additionally, you will be responsible for one direct design report to support Meltwater platform efforts.

What You'll Do:

  • Creation and Craft: Execute and design strong user interfaces, user prototypes, wireframes, and visual designs. Use the most recent GenAI tools to provide sophisticated design prototypes and AI-driven solutions. (IE. Lovable, v0, Cursor). Also work in Figma to ensure pixel perfect designs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively engage with designers and developers to ensure alignment with development requirements and systems documentation. Work with the UX design research team to identify user pain points, assess products, and identify UX opportunities.
  • User-Centered Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles in all projects
  • Process Guidance: Collaborate with teams to align Meltwater design efforts with core business objectives, executing on UX priorities and facilitating a strong design process to further elevate our UI.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Oversee the execution of one product designer, ensuring their work meets high standards in interaction design, UI, and human-centered design to produce new design patterns that are consistent with the platform.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with other product managers (PMs), and UX Directors to foster strong design ethic and outcomes.
  • Facilitation of Innovation: Lead teams through ideation, feasibility assessments, and story-mapping workshops to enhance design and development processes.
  • Communication: Be a strong story teller to cross-functional leaders, developers, and stakeholders, promoting a holistic view of user experience
  • Design Quality Assurance: Conduct UI reviews of design patterns through product-based evaluations and system-wide assessments.
  • Culture Building: Be a strong contributor to design culture while continuously helping the design practice to grow.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Design/Visual UI Design/UI/UX.
  • At minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a design team
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working in SaaS and enterprise applications.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing extensive UX/UI work and also experience with AI tools such as Lovable, v0, or Cursor
  • You have a point of view on industry best practices and design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver products with a focus on final outcomes
  • Strong communication skills for presenting ideas clearly to business stakeholders
  • Strong experience collaborating with engineering teams to refine & develop UX
  • Expert proficiency in Figma
  • Strong understanding of the Design Thinking process stages.
  • Experience collaborating with other designers/design teams for system-wide improvements.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React and MUI.

America Compensation Verbiage

  • Base Salary of $ K USD per year + 10% annual bonus paid in quarterly instalments [subject to the terms of the applicable commission plan].
