Job Summary: CDL A - Yard Jockey Driver & Warehouse
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Driver to join our team. The Yard Driver will be responsible for maneuvering trucks within the yard, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of freight, and maintaining the organization of the yard. This role requires a strong understanding of various truck types and the ability to operate them safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, box trucks within the yard.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
- Ensure proper handling of trailers
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding load status and any issues that arise.
Skills
- Experience with trailers, box trucks & for lifts.
- Strong background in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Ability to operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading tasks.
