About the Role

On behalf of a great client in the Seacoast Region of NH, we are seeking a hands-on
Electrical Engineering Technician
to support an engineering product development team.

This role involves a blend of electrical and mechanical work, including testing, troubleshooting, prototype assembly, and documentation for new and upgraded products. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers to drive innovation and advance new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Process Support

  • Apply electrical theory to test, modify, and troubleshoot printed circuit boards, breadboards, and system-level components
  • Support electrical-mechanical interfaces as needed
  • Program and modify test scripts and applications under engineering guidance
  • Assemble and debug prototype electrical subsystems
  • Design and build prototype circuits under senior engineer supervision
  • Perform soldering and replace components as required
  • Run test procedures and generate detailed test reports

Documentation & Change Management

  • Create and maintain cable drawings and rework documents
  • Document new cables, accessories, and work instructions
  • Update and route ECOs/ECNs in support of the change management process
  • Maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) for new products
  • Evaluate and document new components for inclusion in the Authorized Vendor List (AVL)

Team Collaboration

  • Actively participate in daily interactions with engineers
  • Support decision-making to advance product development and technology integration
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the development team

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years working with Altium design software
  • Strong understanding of electronics and troubleshooting down to the component level
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and test methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with standard lab/test equipment (e.g., DVMs, oscilloscopes)
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented and highly quality-conscious
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Preferred

  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java
  • Experience creating detailed test reports
  • Working knowledge of analytical test equipment
  • Familiarity with drawing/design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
