Position Summary

As a Senior Manager on the Product Team reporting to the VP Product, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and collaborating with various functional groups and product/-s.

Your responsibilities include leading the preparation, validation, and implementation of key product initiatives. You will collaborate with various stakeholders internally/externally to help define scope, processes, SOP, deliveries, definition-of-done, features, metrics, and tradeoffs, as well as alternative solutions. You will work with technology and data science teams, product analysts for system impact assessments, technical scope support, and to ensure high quality delivery and implementation. You will also ensure operational readiness and ownership of product delivery.

As you develop business cases and implement solutions, you will have a direct impact on our business and help our customers achieve financial success.

Job Responsibility
  • Product Roadmap: Develop, own, and communicate the product/-s roadmap to meet business needs and OKR on company/team level.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize strategic initiatives and translate them into actionable features, roadmap.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate business needs into detailed requirements, including user stories, project milestones, BRD and SOP/process maps.
  • Backlog Management: Groom and prioritize the product backlog effectively for both tech and product/projects initiatives.
  • Product design: Acts as a bridge between business goals and user needs, ensuring Product design is user-friendly and visually appealing, through deep understanding of user-centered design principles. Define the scope of UX-testing and prototyping.
  • Performance Measurement: Measure and report on the achievement and effectiveness of product initiatives in terms of benefits, budget, and resource utilization.
  • Feedback and Iteration: Continuously collect feedback internally and from customers and implement adjustments for future iterations of the product.
  • Program Management Oversight: Assess program management oversight needs and ensure alignment with overall business strategy, including third parties' relationships.
  • Financial Evaluation: Work closely with Finance to track initiative-level P&L and evaluate impact on Purpose Financials scorecard and OKRs.
  • Data Analysis: Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to analyze product performance and progress, to identify customer needs, industry trends, and business goals.
  • Accountability for Delivery: Be accountable for product delivery and measure the effectiveness of delivered initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate key milestones, project updates, scope changes, and critical metrics to stakeholders regularly.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, marketing, technology, and other stakeholders to drive assigned product/-s performance.
  • Initiative Leadership: manage cross-functional initiatives focusing on new projects, process improvements, and customer experience enhancements.

Education Required

Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience, preferably in regulated environments.

Experience Required
  • Consumer Product Development: Experience working on modern consumer-facing products (preferably mobile app, product led companies or SaaS/subscription model), strong understanding of user journey, customer research, product frameworks, prototyping, and user-centered design.
  • Business Case Development: Demonstrated experience in developing and refining business cases for consumer product initiatives.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of technical concepts to collaborate effectively with Tech Teams.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication/influencing skills with experience in guiding cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Tech, Operations, and others. Skilled in negotiating and influencing others to execute and implement projects successfully.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, capable of navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Product Lifecycle Experience: Experience driving a full lifecycle product management.
  • Testing Experience: Experience conducting A/B or user testing.
  • Diverse Background: Experience in tech, operations, process improvement, consulting, or data analytics.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical thinking demonstrated through excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable working with financial models, budget, and business cases, as well as various reports.
  • Agile Proficiency: Proficient in Agile methodologies, working collaboratively with Scrum Masters and other Agile roles.
Knowledge Required

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.

  • Startup experience: Leading product development from ground up, experience in regulated environment (nice to have).
  • Track Record: Proven history in working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to successfully drive product initiatives forward.
