Position Summary

Join our innovative and supportive team at Natural Supports Clinic as a Behavior Technician. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will provide high-quality behavioral interventions for youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You'll help implement individualized treatment plans that support development in social, communication, leisure, and adaptive skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Treatment Plans: Carry out individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Data Collection: Record accurate data on client progress and treatment objectives during each session.
  • Behavioral Interventions: Use evidence-based strategies to encourage pro-social skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Client Support: Engage with and support clients to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Session Preparation: Prepare necessary materials and activities before client sessions.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to grow your skills and knowledge.
  • Ethical Conduct: Follow ethical and professional standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience with individuals with IDD and/or ASD preferred.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Excellent observation and data collection skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.

Work Setting

  • Environment: Provide services in both clinic and community settings. Community activities include outings to recreation centers, local libraries, and other venues to generalize clinic-acquired skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, participate in active play, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Schedule: Flexible weekday availability for morning, afternoon, and early evening sessions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $22.00–$26.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week for full-time roles.
