We are seeking a Billing Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The primary responsibilities of this position include preparation and processing of bills for Medicare Part A and B, Michigan Medicaid, and private insurance; as well as the monitoring, tracking and collection of all receivables. Success candidates will possess strong self-management, initiative & prioritization skills to successfully work in a self-directed environment that requires managing multiple tasks & deadlines.

Essential Functions of the position include:

  • Prepare, submit & track clean claims to all payers and accurately apply received payments.
  • Achieve and maintain DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Work collaboratively with facility representatives (front office) to ensure timely & accurate data collection.
  • Support private collection efforts.

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • A High School Diploma with an Associates Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
  • A minimum of two years of medical billing experience (we use Point Click Care)
  • An understanding of Medicaid rules & regulations
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple
  • Strong social & interpersonal skills
