ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Job Summary

This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of our business and offers exposure to complex reconciliations, audits, and consolidations across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex monthly bank reconciliations for local and corporate accounts
  • Assist with interfund, custodial cash reconciliations and company financial consolidations
  • Reconcile various P&L and Balance Sheet accounts (debt, cash, prepaids, etc.)
  • Support the Finance team with insurance accruals and payments
  • Administer retirement plans
  • Assist in preparing audit workpapers and reviewing month-end reconciliations
  • Reconcile real estate tax payments, accruals, and prepaids
  • Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer on review processes

Expectations

  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines with high accuracy
  • Professional, dependable, and collaborative attitude required

Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required;
  • Preferred minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit prep
  • Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel functions
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and time management
  • Strong communication and strategic thinking skills
  • Successful completion of background checks and reference verification
