Blackman & Sloop is excited to welcome a new industry to our client base As we expand into the auto dealership space, we are seeking a new Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This role will have a strong emphasis on supporting our dealership clients, while also providing opportunities to work across a variety of other areas.

You will be expected to manage clients independently and possess project management, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills. Our company is team-oriented and prides itself on providing quality work and excellent customer service in a family-friendly, superior working environment. This position offers substantial growth potential and the opportunity to advance. Additionally, a sense of humor is a must

• Prepare and review business tax returns across industries, with an emphasis on auto dealership clients.
• Analyze financial statements and related documentation, including those unique to auto dealerships.
• Gather data from clients and third-party sources to support engagements.
• Perform research as needed to support tax positions and client objectives.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact to strengthen and maintain client relationships.

• 3+ years of of business tax prep & review experience
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines

• CPA/EA license or candidate
• Experience with auto dealership or related industry
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax and CCH Engagement
