Master Tech Transdev in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Master Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets.   Transdev is proud to offer:    CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
• $ $37.96 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)   Benefits include:

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot all engine issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist all Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for all engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on all engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic. 
  • ASE certifications are required and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Mechanic's Tool Set 
  • Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason 
Physical Requirements:
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
