Ferguson is currently seeking an Area Fabrication Manager
As an Area Pump Repair Manager, you will oversee a skilled service and repair team responsible for the inspection, teardown, rebuilding, and performance testing of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. You will implement operational plans that drive safety, quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction. This role focuses on short- to mid-term operational planning (1–2 years) and requires continuous improvement of repair processes, workflow efficiency, and service outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on leadership to pump repair technicians to ensure safe, high-quality workmanship and adherence to overhaul and testing procedures.
- Plan and schedule repair work, ensuring effective resource allocation, parts availability, and on-time delivery to customers.
- Ensure all repair documentation, service reports, measurements, tolerances, and test data are accurate and compliant with company and industry standards.
- Oversee department budgets, cost control, labor utilization, and shop productivity targets.
- Evaluate repair methods, tooling, and equipment to improve workflow efficiency and standardize best practices across repair operations.
- Maintain shop safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety programs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support to communicate repair recommendations and provide technical insight to customers.
- Hold regular team meetings to address operational priorities, safety topics, training needs, and performance expectations.
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and internal leadership.
- 8+ years of supervisory or management experience in pump repair, rotating equipment service, mechanical maintenance, or similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of pump types, failure modes, repair tolerances, alignment, and performance testing.
- OSHA safety training or certification preferred.
- Welding, machining, or mechanical assembly experience a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop technicians.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, service manuals, and repair specifications.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, process equipment service, or mechanical contracting preferred.

Pay Range:

$6, $13,933.70-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
