Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC) is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Corporate Development Director to lead and grow our corporate fundraising and engagement strategy. This new role is a critical member of the Development team and will be responsible for building a robust portfolio of mission-aligned corporate partners who invest in and champion our work through funding, volunteerism, and thought leadership.
The Corporate Development Director will cultivate high-impact partnerships that help expand mentoring opportunities for Colorado youth—particularly those facing systemic barriers—and support BBBSC's long-term growth and sustainability goals.
Corporate Partnership Strategy & Relationship Management
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners and sponsors.
- Manage a portfolio of existing corporate donors while aggressively identifying and engaging new prospects.
- Build long-term, mission-aligned partnerships that include financial support, employee engagement, in-kind giving, and brand amplification.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for corporate funders, ensuring consistent, personalized, and meaningful engagement.
Sponsorships & Events
- Lead all aspects of corporate sponsorship strategy for events and campaigns, including prospecting, pitch development, benefit packages, and recognition plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize sponsor visibility and impact across events, campaigns, and digital platforms.
- Ensure corporate partners receive exceptional stewardship, including timely reporting, customized engagement, and recognition.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, programs, and volunteer engagement teams to align corporate relationships with strategic priorities and mission delivery.
- Support cause-marketing campaigns, volunteer activations, and workplace giving initiatives in partnership with HR and CSR teams at corporate partner organizations.
Reporting & Systems
- Track progress toward revenue goals using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for leadership, funders, and the board of directors.
Stay current on corporate philanthropy trends, ESG initiatives, and partnership best practices.
5+ years of experience in corporate fundraising, business development, or partnership management, preferably in a nonprofit or youth-serving organization.
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing six-figure partnerships and sponsorships.
- Knowledge of corporate social responsibility (CSR), cause marketing, and employee engagement trends.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM strongly preferred.
