Job Description

As a Security Professional – Shopping Center Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a bustling retail environment. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including assisting with questions and offering directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols in and around the retail location, including public areas, employee-only sections, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, property damage, or hazards, documenting incidents accurately and thoroughly according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies as directed by site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft or disruptive behavior and to provide a sense of security-related support to customers and staff.
• Collaborate with location staff, management, and/or law enforcement as needed to address concerns or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
