As a Vehicle Intake Specialist Trainer, you will play a key role in developing, coaching, and supporting Vehicle Intake Specialists across our 35 stores. You'll ensure new and existing team members are fully trained in evaluating vehicles, processing titles and paperwork, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining company standards. Your focus will be on onboarding, skill development, quality control, compliance and reinforcing safety and operational excellence throughout the intake process.
What You'll Do as a Vehicle Intake Specialist Trainer
- Promote and model a Safety First and Environmental Stewardship culture in all training and daily operations
- Train team members on the company's four core values: Respect, Help, Learn & Grow
- Lead onboarding, hands-on training, and continuous development sessions for Vehicle Intake Specialists
- Coach employees on delivering friendly, professional customer service to individuals selling vehicles
- Train team members to accurately evaluate vehicles for purchase and determine fair pricing using company systems and software
- Teach proper procedures for processing car titles, ownership documents, and all required paperwork
- Ensure team members understand and follow company SOPs, safety policies, and compliance standards
- Observe, assess, and provide feedback to store teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience
- Support stores by reinforcing performance goals and best practices
- Develop training content, guides, SOP updates, and refresher programs as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment in all stores you support
- Partner with leadership to identify training gaps, process improvements, and operational needs
- Support other retail or operational activities as required during training visits
- Frequent travel(around 75%) to various locations in multiple states
- Grow your skills, assist your team, and perform other assigned tasks
What You Bring as a Vehicle Intake Specialist Trainer
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Experience as a Vehicle Intake Specialist or similar role in automotive, retail, or vehicle purchasing
- Knowledge of vehicle evaluation, pricing, and intake procedures
- Strong understanding of title processing, ownership documents, and administrative workflows
- Ability to train in both classroom and hands-on settings
- Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-up abilities
- High proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and company software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-store environment with frequent travel
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays when needed
- Valid drivers license for traveling/driving
Preferred:
- Automotive knowledge or background
- Experience in vehicle intake, auto parts, or automotive retail
- Experience as a trainer
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
