The Project Manager Position

The Company is looking for a Project Manager with superior problem-solving skills to lead the successful completion of a variety of project types. The role is multi-dimensional and fast-paced, as the Project Manager is responsible for juggling all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously from planning through close-out. While technical knowledge is a key part of the equation within the construction industry, it is essential to maintain effective communication, budget and schedule management, and an ability to understand the bigger picture.

Managing the in-house team, subcontractors, and vendor relationships, in addition to interfacing with customers or owners is a crucial component of the job. The Project Manager has the high-level responsibility to keep appropriate parties informed and up to date on the project schedule and budget. O'Brien Construction PM's work closely with the Superintendent to ensure that the subcontractor base is working safely, on schedule, and meeting quality requirements. As most PM's know, this is quite the challenge in this market

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Project Manager Position
:

  • Thorough knowledge of construction and substantial experience working for a General Contractor/Construction Manager
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
  • 100% commitment to safety
  • Ability to keep a project and a team on track
  • Baseline understanding of Procore is beneficial
