Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a qualified and innovative Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation/Principal Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation (Modeling & Tools Development) to join the innovative Model Based Test & Evaluation (MBTE) team where we are advancing cutting-edge technology. We are seeking a creative and driven Staff Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation - Modeling and Tools Development to tackle complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

Note: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. This role can be filled at either level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team to develop processes and techniques using software engineering best practices and standards.

  • Support across multiple groups, including Program Management, external suppliers, and government customers.

  • Support multiple processes and apply technical expertise to solve complex problems.

Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 0 years of relevant experience.

  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

  • Experience in Python and C++.

  • Experience in database design and management.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 3 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline with 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

  • Experience in Python and C++.

  • Experience in database design and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools and Agile software development.

  • General knowledge and experience with SQL, HPC environments, and/or software optimization for faster-than-real-time computing.

  • Cameo knowledge.

  • Active Top-Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $79, $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98, $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
