The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with ERP enterprise systems as a Planner / Buyer / Scheduler in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. The individual should be comfortable working with all functional areas of the organization from finance to manufacturing and operations utilizing enterprise ERP systems for operations planning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

For the assigned product lines, the Planner/Buyer will be responsible for scheduling production across multiple work centers and purchasing components that will support the schedule and maintain required stocking levels of both finished goods, related sub-assemblies and components. These activities will be performed to facilitate production efficiencies and cost optimization of purchased components/supplies that are consistent with the manufacturing planning requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing the company's enterprise software, this individual manages and communicates the production schedule for assigned product lines.
  • Responsible for running MRP to support shop floor decisions and product promised ship dates to customers.
  • Analyzes, understands, and converts customer orders and sales forecasts to manufacturing shop floor orders and component purchase orders to meet demand.
  • Proactively monitors status of open customer orders, manufacturing orders and purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of finished products, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of potential risks/problems.
  • Performs inventory, purchasing, or production related system transactions as required.
  • Maintains item master data integrity by updating planning and purchasing parameters such as supplier lead times, reorder levels, reorder quantities, and verification of safety stock levels, etc.
  • Utilizes data and reports to identify exceptions and respond accordingly.
  • Manages and resolves issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality issues with suppliers.
  • Recommends and establishes optimal inventory levels based on material/supplier lead times and market conditions.
  • Effectively communicates and escalates issues/exceptions to all stakeholders.
  • Supports inventory and documentation changes required for BOM changes, artwork revisions, expiration, obsolescence, and/or introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development.
  • Collaborates with internal customers and provides a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternate supply options.
  • Communicates purchase price variance proactively.
  • Monitors industry trends to make strategic purchases due to increasing lead times or allocation of supply.
  • Analyzes data through Power BI or business intelligence reporting for insights.

Skills and Experience

· At least 5 (preferably 7 ) years of planning, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management experience.

· Demand planning is necessary.· Systems experience in MRP, planning and purchasing modules required.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, above average Excel skills.

· Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

· Candidate must be able to effectively organize and prioritize tasks.

Education

· Bachelors in Business / Supply Chain / Logistics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
