The anticipated salary range for this role is between $97,000.00 and $156, The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role DescriptionSupport business planning and operations by delivering key insights from corporate data sources. Develop reports and dashboard tools to visualize data for rapid understanding and communication. Work with business units to understand data requirements and implement processes for ensuring data integrity.
Role Objectives- Manage end to end to model lifecycle including development, testing and performance monitoring of models in support of market and communication surveillance practices.
- Support Model Validation process by undertaking preparation of Model development document to note model performance, limitations, overlays et al.
- Perform data analysis following appropriate experimental design in support of BAU and ad-hoc business requirements. Drive, escalate and present analysis to ensure issues are addressed and closed.
- Create and maintain technical & procedural documents for model development and management, code repository, Data Flows, computation architecture and controls.
- Develop and maintain cloud native infrastructure in support of computational solutions built to support CPAD objectives.
- Promote knowledge sharing and promulgation of best practices across Compliance
- Knowledge of statistical concepts including experiment design, sampling methods and probability distributions.
- Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, SQL etc) and version control tools(Git)
- Understanding of various Machine Learning & Natural Language processing algorithms, model selection criteria and Supervised/ Unsupervised learning techniques
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud with the following tools ADF, Databricks
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
- Strong interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with stakeholders and engaging teams
- Excellent oral communication and writing skills in interacting with non-executives and executive management and across business lines and control functions
- Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce high quality, accurate work consistently
