Position Summary

Seeking a dedicated part-time docent/guide to join the Center for Lake Erie Education and Research team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations including

  • Welcoming visitors to the open and accessible center space

  • Assisting visitors with the proper use of interactive exhibit technology within the center

  • Cleaning touch screens and other exhibit items when not otherwise engaged or as appropriate

  • Communicating, listening, and sharing thoughts and ideas with visitors based upon interactive exhibits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-lingual
  • BS in environmental science or a related field

Physical Demands

This position requires minimal physical demands, but applicants should be able to safely lift 25 pounds and sit and/or stand for extended periods of time; be able to work in a busy environment
