You'll conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems and your technical duties include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for and involved in all aspects of aircraft 3D model creation and validation:

  • Work shoulder to shoulder with technicians gathering the data

  • Review, critique and approve data package deliverables from scanning team

  • Interface regularly with end users of data to receive and fulfill custom data requests

  • Lead and mentor younger engineers on your team

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools

  • Demonstrated experience with Catia V5

  • Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
