Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and safety while demonstrating mechanical knowledge and proficiency in operating various types of tow trucks. This role is essential in providing roadside assistance and ensuring the safe transport of vehicles.

Duties

  • Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to safely transport vehicles.
  • Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform vehicle recovery operations in various conditions, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of tow trucks to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Utilize manual transmission skills when necessary for towing operations.
  • Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle conditions.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to coordinate towing assignments efficiently.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating tow trucks, particularly flatbed models, is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • A commitment to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
