The Role

Power Washing And More is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Fleet & Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring our fleet of gas and diesel trucks and our specialized pressure washing units are operating safely and efficiently at all times. Our business operates 24/7/365 so, having a qualified mechanic on our team would be key.

You will be the key person keeping our operations running smoothly, handling everything from routine preventative maintenance on trucks to intricate repairs on high-pressure pumps and small engines. If you are a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys variety and working independently, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fleet Maintenance: Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of gas and diesel service trucks.
  • Engine Expertise: Expertly diagnose and repair various small engines attached to our pressure washing skids and generators.
  • System Repair: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, electrical issues, brakes, steering, and suspension on fleet vehicles.
  • Equipment Service: Perform maintenance on high-pressure pumps, water heaters, hoses, and reels, utilizing your mechanical and, optionally, plumbing knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, accurate records of all vehicle and equipment repairs and service histories.
  • Inventory: Assist in managing parts inventory and identifying cost-effective repair solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a mechanic or technician.
  • Proven expertise in the maintenance and repair of both gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Mandatory experience in diagnosing and repairing small engines (e.g., portable generators, pumps, etc).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Desired Skills (A Plus)

Candidates possessing the following skills will be highly prioritized:

  • Plumbing Knowledge: Experience with hydraulic lines, high-pressure fittings, pumps, valves, and water heater units. This is highly beneficial for maintaining our specialized washing equipment.
  • Body Work: Basic experience with light bodywork, fiberglass repair, welding, or fabrication to keep our trucks and equipment trailers presentable and operational.
  • ASE certifications or equivalent technical training.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour, based on experience and specialized skills.
  • Schedule Flexibility: We are hiring for both full-time and part-time schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $1, $1,400.17 per week

Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
