Required Number of Individuals to Fill in this Position:
1

Client Background

Private Fund Operations Technology
 |
Architecting the Future of Private Equity

Location:
Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid Preferred) | Remote Available

The Mission

Private equity runs on complex, multi-tiered logic known as "waterfalls." For decades, billions of dollars have been managed via fragile spreadsheets.
Our client is changing that.
They are the engine behind the industry's most sophisticated automation platform, empowering private alternative investment firms to streamline carried interest and distribution processes with precision.

They are seeking a
Senior Full Stack Engineer
to act as a technical cornerstone for their next-generation platform. This is not just a coding role; it is an architectural leadership position where your decisions will dictate how they scale, secure, and streamline mission-critical financial workflows.

The Tech Stack

  • Core:
     Java, Spring Boot
  • Frontend:
(Open to React/Angular experts willing to adapt)
  • Cloud/Ops:
AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Transfer Family, CloudWatch), CI/CD pipelines

Where You Will Make an Impact

  • System Architecture:
Lead the design of scalable backend services that handle complex financial algorithms with precision and speed.
  • Cloud Native Strategy:
Own the AWS topography. You won't just "maintain" infrastructure; you will optimize it for security, disaster recovery, and high availability.
  • Engineering Culture:
Set the standard. Implement CI/CD best practices, conduct high-level code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
  • Product Evolution:
Bridge the gap between heavy math and user experience. You will collaborate with product stakeholders to turn abstract financial concepts into intuitive, robust software.

Who You Are

  • A Polyglot Problem Solver:
You have strong proficiency in Java/Spring Boot but understand that languages are tools. You are comfortable touching the frontend ) when necessary to deliver a complete feature.
  • A DevOps Mindset:
You treat infrastructure as code. You have built pipelines and understand the nuances of the AWS ecosystem (IAM, S3, EC2).
  • A High-Agency Builder:
You thrive in environments where you can see the direct impact of your work. You don't need to be micro-managed; you need a problem to solve.

Location Strategy

Our client believes that high-velocity engineering teams thrive on collaboration.

  • Jacksonville Preference:
They strongly prefer candidates who can join the team in their Jacksonville hub on a hybrid basis. They value the whiteboarding sessions, rapid-fire problem solving, and culture building that happens in person.
  • Remote Friendly:
They are outcome-oriented. For the right "10x" engineer who cannot relocate, they are fully equipped to support a remote workflow.

Why Join This Team?

  • High-Value Domain:
Work on FinTech challenges that directly affect the bottom line of top-tier private funds.
  • Autonomy & Mastery:
This is a lean, high-performing team. You will have a voice in the roadmap and the freedom to choose the right tools for the job.
  • Impact:
Help shape a platform that sets the standard for transparency, compliance, and scalability in the alternative investment space.
