Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cosmetology and barbering, with expertise in hair styling techniques, color theory, and customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions.
• Utilize straight razor techniques and hair threading as needed to achieve desired results.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with salon policies.
• Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs and offering personalized recommendations.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing retail sales.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices in hair care and styling.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and techniques to enhance skills.
• Promote additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care through effective upselling strategies.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license.
• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including color theory and hair extensions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing product sales effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
