MSA is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager Engineering at our Champaign, IL office. This position is on our Public Works Service line and works closely with a wide variety of Wisconsin municipal clients as a project manager for civil engineering projects. Projects may range from roads, utilites, water/sewer, site development, wastewater, and more.

Flexible working arrangements are available for this position and it also is Flex Time eligible. Flex Time is a benefit for salaried staff that recognizes when you work over 40-hours in a work week and anything over 40-hours in a week converts to future time off that you can use.

Responsibilities:

Your mission:

  • Client relations including attendance at client meetings and interaction with existing and new clients
  • Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
  • Design of public works infrastructure projects
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
  • Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
  • Administration of construction on public works infrastructure projects

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
  • 10+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients required
  • PE license strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs required
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and requirements within Illinois preferred
  • Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.

The salary for this position ranges from $99,000 to $159,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
