Job Summary

The Construction Manager will support
substation electrical and utility construction projects
for a Fortune 500 energy company serving New England. This role is based onsite in Dorchester, MA and requires extensive experience overseeing complex utility construction activities with a strong emphasis on
safety, quality, and schedule adherence
.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in substation construction and the ability to lead field execution without the need for clearance or prior holding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite construction management for
    substation electrical and utility projects
    .
  • Oversee contractors and field activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities and resolve field issues efficiently.
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor project progress, schedule, and quality performance.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, engineering teams, and field personnel.
  • Promote a strong culture of
    safety, reliability, and accountability
    on site.

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in
    substation electrical or utility construction management
    .
  • Proven experience managing large-scale power or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and field execution practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work onsite full time in Dorchester, MA.
