Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Operate the POS system to process sales transactions accurately.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales.
  • Assist in stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively.
  • Conduct product demos to inform customers about new items.
  • Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling and customer service.
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries.
  • Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring smooth operations during shifts.

Skills

  • Proficient in using POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
  • Previous supervising experience is a plus, fostering teamwork among staff.
  • Ability to conduct product demos that engage customers effectively.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
  • Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Knowledge of merchandising strategies to attract customers' attention.
  • Familiarity with stocking procedures to maintain inventory levels efficiently.
  • Background in retail sales with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
