Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and fine dining. This role requires a creative individual who can oversee kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

  • Lead and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling techniques throughout the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, knife skills, and best practices in meal preparation.
  • Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate catering services for events while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the food service or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of dietary department operations and experience as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Expertise in menu planning, fine dining experience, and catering services is essential.
  • Proficient in cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent knife skills and experience with various cooking styles are required.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of culinary professionals.
