Professional Engineer (Electrical QA/QC – BGE Systems) - KCW Engineering Technologies, Inc. is recruiting for a Professional Engineer (PE) with proven experience in QA/QC and BGE electrical designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform QA/QC of electrical design packages
  • Review and sign PE plans for designs
  • Prepare field notes, engineering/construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates
  • Stay current on BGE and industry electrical design standards.
  • Collaborate with and mentor design teams on best practices and standards.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of BGE systems, electrical design standards, and quality control processes, as well as the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with design teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with BGE systems. 
  • Maryland Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. 
  • Strong knowledge of electrical utility design standards and ability to manage designs from concept through construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and governmental agencies.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and Small World GIS is required.

Compensation:

  • $50.00-$68.00/hour (equal to $104,000-$141,440 annually)
  • Position eligible for overtime
  • Position eligible for discretionary bonuses at the sole discretion of the company
