Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

We are seeking a Facility Specialist to join our maintenance and facilities team. In this role, you will perform repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous facility operations.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to facility service calls and perform in-house repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
  • Install office fixtures and support maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
  • Move furniture, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, equipment cleaning, and breakdowns.
  • Work with equipment operators to identify issues and determine root causes.
  • Test faulty equipment, components, and circuits to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Replace defective parts and wiring; adjust mechanical systems for optimal performance.
  • Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications.
  • Calibrate testing instruments and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Utilize computer systems to copy programs, modify, or store schematics.
  • Oversee backup operations for emergency systems.
  • Ensure plumbing, sewer, water, electrical, and mechanical systems remain functional and compliant.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in facility maintenance, building repair, or a related trade preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and building systems across multiple trades.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and system updates.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
