About Us

We are a queer-owned, nurse practitioner–run psychiatric practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care. Our work focuses on accurate diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment to support long-term mental health and overall well-being. Work Setting

This is a primarily virtual position, with an expectation of one in-office day every other week at our Downtown Brooklyn location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric mental health care to patients across the lifespan
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans grounded in current clinical research and best practices
  • Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
  • Educate patients and, when appropriate, their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric–Mental Health
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active, unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license and DEA registration
  • Independent practitioner status, with collaborative practice hours completed in accordance with New York State law
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to practice independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, patient-centered, and culturally responsive approach to care

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $125.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
